For those of you who didn’t see our previous post, the DojoSec scheduled to take place today has been canceled.

Please spread the word so no one shows up at Capitol College and has nothing to do!

Just wanted to let everyone know that this month’s DojoSec has been cancelled due to logistics problems.

But, on the bright side, October will be the one-year anniversary of DojoSec meetups, so be sure to make the October DojoSec meetup if you can!

Please be sure to spread the word about this; we don’t want anyone showing up at Capitol College with nothing to do.

DojoSec is back this month with what promises to be stellar lineup. Confirmed speakers so far include Lurene Grenier. If all the tweets can be believed, the whole SourceFire team will be there to cheer Grenier on.

No word yet on what Grenier and the other speakers will be covering, but based on past meetups, we’re sure it will be something good.

I know that most of you already saw the announcement I posted yesterday, but I want to make sure that nobody ends up at Capital College tonight and wonders where DojoSec is.

Marcus said that the August DojoSec will be happening as planned, so be sure to mark your calendars accordingly!

We just got word that the DojoSec meetup for tomorrow, July 2nd, has been canceled.

As far as we can tell, the good folks at DojoSec haven’t yet posted the full details for their meetup this Thursday, July 2nd.

While we know that Matt Fisher of Piscis LLC will be giving the keynote speech, it seems like the rest of the meetup is going to be a surprise. But DojoSec is always an awesome meetup to attend, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already.

While the DojoSec meetup last month was awesome, the DojoSec meetup this month looks just as good, if not better.

Alain Zidouemba of Sourcefire will be giving a presentation entitled “What to Do With the Unknown?” that will cover Clam AntiVirus—an open source anti-virus toolkit for UNIX systems.

Richard Goldberg, Esq. will be giving a presentation that all of us—especially those of us who do consulting or work on a project-by-project basis—should hear, entitled “How Not to Get Pwnd by Your Clients.” According to the description, “[t]his talk will tell you how to keep yourself out of trouble. Topics will include dealing with “standard” contracts and “standard” provisions; what it means to “indemnify” someone else; how to protect your intellectual property and confidential information; and other dangers, including warranties and audit-rights provisions. It will also cover some negotiation strategies.”

Eoghan Casey of cmdLabs will give a presentation called “Getting Physical With Mobile Devices.” Dealing with mobile device forensics, Casey’s talk will cover “various techniques and tools for dumping and analyzing physical memory from mobile devices, including Flasher boxes. In addition, … [it] will provide examples of items recovered from physical memory that are not accessible using most forensic tools.”

DojoSec is a great meetup to attend, so if you haven’t already, be sure to check it out!
