It looks like OWASP has released the videos from this year’s NYC AppSec infosec conference event. Here is the link to the AppSec videos. Mike from The Guerilla CISO let me know of this year’s Day-Con infosec conference event. It a little far - over an 8 hour drive but according to this ZDNet article some of the Security Twits have rented an RV and will be swinging through NoVA to pick up anyone interested in going assuming there’s still room left. If there’s no room left, then I guess caravaning should work at least. According to Mike, pick-up would be in Herndon on Friday the 10th in the morning and drop-off would be on the evening of the 12th. Here are the logistics for the conference:

The NYC AppSec infosec conference event just occurred. We weren’t able to go but did spend some time scouring the web for some interesting take-aways. Overall the big news story from the conference seemed to be the Jeremiah Grossman/Robert Hansen clickjacking talk. Also, Chris Nickerson’s session on hacking web apps through developers hit a few of the top newsletters. Josh over at the Web Admin Blog seemed to have a post for almost every session. I don’t know how he did it but his summaries seem like a good place to start for those interested in finding out more of what went on. (more…)

Just a quick reminder that the OWASP NYC AppSec 2008 infosec conference event is next week. The agenda and speakers are ready and they’ve even made a recent venue change to the Park Central New York Hotel to accomodate more people. NIST will be closing registration for this year’s IT Security Automation infosec conference event on 9/16 so be sure to register soon if you want to attend.
