It’s that time of the week again: The time where we take a look at what local security bloggers have been up to. Last week, we went on a vacation without telling anyone and we are sorry about that. We promise to do a better job at communication from now on. Anyways if you can’t get enough of the local security scene, check out our NovaInfosec Twits list for even more great security blogs and people to follow on Twitter. Also be sure to follow myself (@nathiet), @grecs, and @novainfosec on Twitter if you want to know more about what’s going on in the local security community during the week.
And without further ado … here are the top picks for this week.
#3 -Gemini/KRvW Training at AppSecDC 2010: An informative post from the Falcon’s View concerning a 2-day “Software Security Best Practices” course at AppSecDC 2010.  This is best suited for software developers but if you are interested in learning more then click here
#2 -Microsoft Security Essentials Now Free For Businesses (kind of): This is good news for small businesses and home users but Walt Turnes of Gemini Security Solutions looks beyond the good news and read the language in the EULA tool. Click here if you’d like to know what the language in the EULA tool says
#1 -Thoughts on “Cyber Weapons”: Many people often don’t differentiate between security tools and cyber weapons and with that in mind, Richard Bejtlich shares his thoughts on differentiating security tools from cyber weapons. Click here to hear more about Richard’s thoughts and share yours with him as well.
Well, that’s all this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blog posts from local security bloggers.
