It’s that time of the week again: The time where we take a look at what local security bloggers have been up to. We will mainly be focusing on browser security today. Unfortunately we don’t have a top 3 this week but we have a top 2 blog post of week as most of our local bloggers didn’t post on their blogs or our feed didn’t pick them up.

If you can’t get enough of the local security scene, check out our NovaInfosec Twits list for even more great security blogs and people to follow on Twitter. Also be sure to follow myself (@nathiet), @grecs, and @novainfosec on Twitter if you want to know more about what’s going on in the local security community during the week.

And without further ado … here are the top picks for this week.

#2 –Back to Basics: No Tech Hacking at 30,000 feet: How to treat work 30,000 feet in the air? This post looks at how unsafe people can be when travelling and how security information can be stolen. Click here to read more.

#1 –This Week in Gov’t Computing: Have you missed on the Gov’t computing front? A blog post that looks at the changes and happenings in gov’t computing with the main focus on the changes on reporting “Agency CIOs will now be required to report to OMB via CyberScope by November 15th” and “IGs will also need to report through the old system.” Learn about the changes here

Well, that’s all this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blog posts from local security bloggers.
