It’s that time of the week again: The time where we take a look at what local security bloggers have been up to. If you can’t get enough of the local security scene, check out our NovaInfosec Twits list for even more great security blogs and people to follow on Twitter. Also be sure to follow myself (@nathiet), @grecs, and @novainfosec on Twitter if you want to know more about what’s going on in the local security community during the week.

And without further ado … here are the top picks for this week.

#3 – Cyber criminals getting specialized, FBI says: The title gives away this post. This was mentioned at FOSE 2010 conference by FBI’s deputy assistant director of its Cyber Division, Steven Chabinsky. Chabinsky discussed the increasing specialization of skills in the cyber criminal marketplace. Click here to read about the most common cyber criminal specialties.

#2 – Personal e-mail at work “OK”?: This post examines why we should keep our personal e-mail/life separate from our work life. Click here to find out what happened to a New Jersey resident when she used her work laptop to access her email.

#1 – Microsoft Remote Desktop and Security: How secure is Microsoft’s remote desktop client and what method of encryption is used by RDP communications? Find out here.

Well, that’s all this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blog posts from local security bloggers.
