It’s that time of the week again: The time where we take a look at what local security bloggers have been up to.  This week we are a little behind but we do have two interesting features from Security Musings! Congrats on two great posts!

If you can’t get enough of the local security scene, check out our NovaInfosec Twits list for even more great security blogs and people to follow on Twitter. Also be sure to follow us on Twitter @grecs if you want to know more about what’s going on in the local security community during the week.

And without further ado … here are the top picks for this week.

#3 – ShmooCon 2010 – Day 1: If you’re interested in a rundown of what at ShmooCon 2010 day 1 then this is the post for you. Click here to read about day 1 of ShmooCon 2010.

#2 - The Importance of Protecting Your Search History: A blog about the awareness of protecting your search history with a cool video ad from the super bowl. In the EFF’s words, “Google’s ad during yesterday’s Super bowl explained in less than a minute how the story of someone’s life can be pieced together from their search queries.” Read more here!

#1 - Don’t Disregard the Insider: “When companies create security policies designed to keep their information secure, they are often most focused upon the threat of an outsider.” A self explanatory post that’s about protecting your data from threats within your organization. Click here to read more.

Well, that’s all this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blog posts from local security bloggers.
