It’s that time of the week again: The time where we take a look at what local security bloggers have been up to. This week [overall intro statement that ties all the posts together].

If you can’t get enough of the local security scene, be sure to check out our NovaInfosec Twits list for even more great security blogs and people to follow on Twitter. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @grecs if you want to know more about what’s going on in the local security community during the week.

#3 – Techno Forensics 2009: We love these sort of writeups. A summary of  the happenings of the techno forensics conference in dc, topics ranged from SQL injection to iPhone forensics. There are so many interesting events going on around DC, it’s impossible to even attend a fraction of them. Nice “nugget-filled” posts like this are always welcome.

#2 – Metasploit Blends In: New MSFPayload/ENcode: a technical post about a new option in the most recent version of Metasploit. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to get too much hands-on experience with this awesome tool but apparently there is a new “-x” option that allows you to encode executables to send to the victim

#1 – APPSECDC Press and Themes: And how could we finish out this week’s top posts without mentioning one involving the upcoming AppsecDC conference. Rybolov discusses the themes for this event next week. Read about the themes here

Well, that’s all this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blog posts from local security bloggers.
