In Focus: NoVA Email Lists/Networking Page
Believe it or not, Twitter isn’t the only way that those of us in the local infosec community choose to communicate. (But if you’re interested, you can see a list of local security professionals that are on Twitter here.) The other popular way for local security professionals to communicate is through email lists.
But as many of us know, email lists aren’t only for communicating about the latest infosec conference or a neat hacking tool we discovered; they’re also a handy networking tool.
Realizing this during the early days of NovaInfosecPortal, we created our “NoVA Email Lists/Networking” page for this very reason. The only problem? Most people don’t know about it!
That’s why we want to let you know about it now. Good email lists are hard to find, and we’ve got some golden finds just laying around.
In addition to email lists, we’ve also got some suggestions for IRCs, forums, some more Twitter lists, and even a LinkedIn group or two.
Take a moment to stop by and maybe try a new email list (or three). If you know of an email list, IRC, or social networking group we’re missing, please take a moment to Contact Us and we’ll be happy to add it to the list.
