ISSA – DC Chapter Infosec Meetup Event Tomorrow, 09-15: Software Development and CSSLP

The ISSA – DC Chapter infosec meetup this month is a must-attend for software developers. Titled “Software Development: The Next Security Frontier An Introduction to the CSSLP Certification” and presented by certification consultant Glenn Johnson of ISC2, this meetup will take a hard look at the following questions:

  • Why do we need secure software?
  • What does it take to build secure software?

After answering those questions, they will cover the following topics:

  • Developing a professional standard in software development.
  • Elements of effective software security programs.
  • Why security programs are valuable both for commercial software and in-house development
  • The Certified Software Security Lifecycle Practitioner Certification
