Ever wish you had a way to get the best infosec tweets without scrolling through Twitter for what seems like hours? Well, now you’re in luck; our “Infosec Ramblings” post every Monday features the best of Twitter from the previous week so you don’t miss a tweet. (Horrible play on words, but we couldn’t resist.)

In case you haven’t stopped by to say hello, why not take a moment to visit us @grecs? While you’re at it, why not check out NovaInfosec Twits to see how you can get your name out to the local security community.

If you’re looking for people to follow on Twitter—besides us, of course ;) —it looks like this is the place to start.

  • Interesting.. RT @cyberwar: Nominations now live for the Top 50 Tweeples to Follow: 2009. http://pitch.pe/21108 #

We even nominated a few people ourselves…

All of the names listed above are people who are a big part of the local security community. If you’d like to get involved, why not start with some local security meetups that are happening this week? There were also some great meetups that happened last week in case you didn’t get a chance to attend.

You can also read what local security bloggers are saying.

Oh Twitter, will you ever be secure?

What’s even less cool than Twitter attacks? This.

But don’t get too down in the dumps; Firefox is here to save the day. Or, at the very least, here to make it better.

We’re pretty excited about this. Have any of you checked it out yet?

  • PODCAST REVIEWS: @mubix has started nice series on rev sec podcasts. Here’s 1st: SearchSecurity Threat Monitor http://bit.ly/6ldk1 #

If you’re looking for something good to read, it looks like this might be a winner.

  • RT @danphilpott Finally read through my copy of Security Metrics last night. What an amazing book. Highly recommended. #toread #

While we don’t totally agree, this is good advice to follow, especially with the current economy.

And, because we all love wikis, here’s an interesting newsbyte.

Lastly, a conference to keep in mind.
