While they were just here in February, the Computer Forensics Show Conference has decided to come back for another conference.

Starting tomorrow, April 27th, the Computer Forensics Conference seeks to inform the following companies and professionals about the importance of computer forensics in their respective industries:

  • Criminal Prosecutors
  • Civil Litigation Companies
  • Individuals in the Federal/State/Local Governments
  • Individuals in the Financial/Banking Industries
  • Individuals in the Insurance/Healthcare/Pharmaceutical Industries
  • IT Companies Specializing in Computer Forensics
  • Law Enforcement Officials
  • Software Manufacturers
  • General Management

But the Computer Forensics Show Conference is just as important to those of us who are in the security field. According to the conference’s website, “[l]ike it or not, every computer is a potential crime scene and must be treated with care. When companies need to conduct internal investigations—especially those involving litigation—discovering and maintaining evidence becomes paramount.” While some of this might fall to law officials, it may also fall to us. To make sure that we are prepared to tackle current and future problems with computer forensics, this conference gives us a good chance to ’get our feet wet’ and become familiar with potential challenges and solutions.
