Security IT Conference and Exhibition Infosec Event

1105 Government Information Group has been running this year’s Security IT Conference and Exhibition infosec event since yesterday. It’s still not too late to take part in the festivities tomorrow. Here are the logistics for this year’s conference:

    • The 9th Security Conference will discuss the latest security threats to government information systems, as well as strategies and technologies to mitigate risk as it is identified.  Attendees and faculty will bring a range of professional experience to conference discussions, including analysis of current priorities, policies, and programs for information security and best practices from government and industry. Key themes/topics include: Information protection and network security strategies; How to meet evolving privacy requirements across government agencies; Case studies that demonstrate valuable lessons learned for security implementations; How agencies are meeting FISMA and HSPD-12 mandates; Mobile and wireless security considerations, and how they differ from wired networks; and Hot topics and technologies for security professionals — what you need to know today for tomorrow’s challenges. Plus much more… Topics will include secure information sharing, identity management programs, cybersecurity and homeland security initiatives, as well as critical infrastructure protection, border and transportation security, and risk assessment and management.
